Wing Ring

For this design I was inspired by the song "Bird and the Whale" (by Tom Waits)

Carved in wax and cast in sterling silver.
This is a large ring that 'hugs' it's neighbouring finger!

A blue sapphire is set into the top surface of the ring, placed where the structure of the under-part would come through.
