Finally my 'grid' drawing series has taken physical form!
Here, I've played with a really neat technique called 'water etching', involving masking a raised area, and then gently sponging the clay away from it, so that the material is raised. There is a very delicate lavender glaze worked into the corners of the raised edges.
I think this is a very nice, organic way of creating these lines in clay. I will definately continue to explore this technique in my work.
